Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo was in celebratory spirits as she joined family members and several celebrities to mark the first birthday of her grandson, Rakeem, in Lagos on Saturday.
The colourful celebration, organised around a cowboy theme, brought together friends, relatives and entertainment personalities who came to celebrate the son of Ojo’s daughter, Priscilla, and her Tanzanian husband, Juma Jux.
Ojo was closely involved in the preparations for the occasion after previously featuring in a photoshoot with the birthday boy ahead of his special day.
The actress also recognised individuals who contributed to the success of the celebration, including businesswoman Shade Okoya and actresses Lola Alao and Bose Alao, who provided souvenirs for children at the party.
Several familiar faces from the entertainment industry attended the event with their families. They included media personality Toke Makinwa and her daughter, Yhemo Lee, his wife Thayour B and their son, Nkechi Blessing and her son, Kamo State, his wife and daughter, and fashion designer Veekee James.
Guests were treated to games, music and dancing as the young celebrant enjoyed his special day alongside his parents and other family members.
While the party was primarily centred around children, the celebrity turnout and various activities created an atmosphere that also kept the adults entertained.

Ojo attracted additional attention with her choice of outfit, which sparked reactions from her fans and followers on social media.
She later shared a lively moment on the dance floor with her son, Festus, as the celebration continued.
The event followed several updates from Ojo during the preparation stages, during which she expressed appreciation to friends and associates who supported the birthday celebration.
Rakeem’s first birthday provided an opportunity for the family to come together and celebrate the milestone surrounded by loved ones and prominent figures from Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
