South African lifestyle influencer and adult content creator Leshaan Dagama has addressed former Edo governor Adams Oshiomhole’s denial of their “viral interaction,” rejecting his claim that the widely circulated video was AI-generated.
The controversy started on Tuesday when a video went viral showing a man resembling Oshiomhole engaged in a playful interaction with a woman, massaging her feet while they sat together. The woman was initially misidentified as Lara Fortes, wife of the Edo North senator.
Dagama reportedly shared the clip on her TikTok account before deleting it shortly afterward. The footage quickly sparked heated reactions online, with many Nigerians criticising the perceived display of lavishness amid the country’s economic challenges. Others mocked Oshiomhole’s recent comment that some citizens were now complaining that “food prices are becoming too cheap.”
In response, Oseni Momodu, Oshiomhole’s media aide, issued a statement dismissing the video as a “poorly crafted AI-generated” fabrication. The statement condemned online platforms for spreading “unverified content,” describing the circulation of the clip as cyberbullying. It also mentioned that steps were being taken to identify those behind the video and urged the public to verify information before making allegations against public figures.

Dagama later refuted this claim on her Instagram story, sarcastically commenting: “Video wasn’t AI but okay believe your senator,” accompanied by a smiling emoji implying indifference.
She had previously responded to the growing backlash by shifting the focus to Oshiomhole, writing: “Your senator is the problem. Go be mad at him not me.”
The incident continues to generate debates on social media, highlighting tensions between public figures and viral online content.
