Nigerian actress Ini Dima-Okojie and her husband, Abasi Ene-Obong, have announced the birth of their first child.
The actress shared the news on Instagram on Wednesday with a series of heartfelt photos showing her carrying the baby.
Although she introduced fans to this new chapter of her life, Ini kept some details away from public view, choosing not to reveal the baby’s name or exact birth date.
Marking her 36th birthday on June 24, the actress said this year’s celebration looked different from previous years as she embraced life as a first-time mum.
Opening up about the experience, she described motherhood as the most meaningful role she has ever experienced.
“Every year, my birthday comes with a photoshoot, glam, and a carefully planned concept. This year, none of that felt quite right,” she wrote.
“There is no role I have ever played that has humbled me, stretched me, challenged me, or filled my heart quite like this one.
“Because as special as every birthday has been, this one feels different. This year, I celebrate as a mother.”
Ini also reflected on adjusting to life with a newborn, admitting that the experience has been more intense than she expected.

She described the past few weeks as beautiful, emotional and rewarding while speaking fondly about bonding with her son.
“The newborn phase is no joke, and I definitely didn’t fully understand what was waiting for me,” she said.
Calling him “the cutest boy with the sweetest dimples,” she added:
“Today, I celebrate another year of life, but even more than that, I celebrate the privilege of being his mum.”
Ini first announced her pregnancy in April when she posted a video revealing her baby bump in a flowing white outfit.
