The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officially announced Governor Hope Uzodinma as the victor of the Governorship Election in Imo State.
The Returning Officer for the state, Abayomi Fasina, the vice-chancellor of the Federal University, Oye Ekiti, Ekiti State, proclaimed the results on Sunday, November 12, 2023, at the INEC headquarters in Owerri.
The results indicated that Hope Uzodimma of the All Progressives Congress (APC) obtained 540,308 votes, securing his win in the election.
Samuel Anyanwu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) followed in second place with 71,503 votes, while Athan Achonu of the Labour Party (LP) trailed in third with 64,081 votes.
Tony Ejiogu of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) secured 6,392 votes.
