In his heartfelt New Year address, President Tinubu has called on Nigerians to rise above distractions and divisions that hinder the nation’s growth.

“We are on the right path to building a great Nigeria that will work for everyone,” President Tinubu assured.
He urged Nigerians to avoid being swayed by “a tiny segment of our population that still sees things through the prisms of politics, ethnicity, region, and religion.”
The president also highlighted his administration’s unwavering commitment to significant reforms aimed at driving sustainable economic growth and prosperity.
Pledge to the People
Tinubu expressed gratitude to Nigerians for their trust, describing their confidence in his leadership as humbling. “Your trust humbles me, and I promise to continue serving you diligently and wholeheartedly,” he said.
He outlined his vision for 2025, focusing on:
- Economic Reforms: Pursuing a $1 trillion economy with a stronger Naira, rising foreign reserves, and continued reduction in inflation.
- Food Security: Increasing food production and lowering food and drug inflation to 15%.
- Unity: Strengthening national identity through shared values and love for the country.

Tinubu appealed to citizens to work collectively toward the nation’s goals, stressing that progress requires shared effort.
“As far-reaching and foundational as our reforms are, they can produce the desired outcomes only through shared common values and identities, and unconditional love for our country,” he noted.
