Nollywood star Toyin Abraham has publicly expressed her displeasure following an awkward moment with colleague Funke Akindele at a recent movie premiere.
The incident took place at the premiere of a film hosted by Iyabo Ojo, where Abraham approached Akindele in a bid to exchange greetings. Eyewitness accounts and a now-viral video show Toyin trying to get her colleague’s attention by tapping her and calling out respectfully.
“Aunty Funke, good evening ma.”
Despite the effort, Akindele appeared unresponsive, looking away and failing to acknowledge her, which left Abraham embarrassed before she walked off.
The clip has since generated buzz on social media, with users sharing mixed opinions over the interaction, while some criticised the perceived cold reaction.
In a reaction shared via Instagram, which was later deleted, Abraham revealed she has unfollowed Akindele and made it clear she would not engage with her again.
