Olakunle Churchill, the former husband of Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh, has shared his emotional reaction following their recent reconciliation, ending years of public tension and disputes.
On Saturday, Dikeh announced that she and Churchill had resolved their differences, bringing nearly a decade of hostility to a close.
In an Instagram post on Sunday, Churchill expressed the joy he felt after receiving a heartfelt call from their son, King Andre, who referred to him as “daddy” for the first time. He described the experience as deeply touching and reflective of divine intervention.
“I was pleasantly surprised when I received a call from my son, King Andre, for the first time. Hearing him call me ‘Daddy’ was deeply touching and a reminder that what God cannot do does not exist,” Churchill wrote.
He also highlighted the role of faith and forgiveness in their reconciliation, emphasizing the growth and understanding that made healing possible.
“Faith has a way of bringing clarity, humility and peace. I acknowledge the growth and grace evident in the manner in which this matter has been resolved. With God leading, healing and understanding have become possible,” he added.
Churchill noted that forgiveness has allowed both parents to move forward and prioritize co-parenting their son with love and mutual respect.
“Forgiveness has paved the way for a new chapter, and we are moving forward with a sense of peace and mutual respect. The conflict is behind us, and we are now focused on co-parenting with love, care, and a shared commitment to raising our son,” he said.
Reflecting on the lessons learned over the years, Churchill expressed gratitude and optimism for the future.
