Nigerian actor and content creator Bamidele Tope Saint, better known as Okemesi, has reached out to the public for assistance after narrating an ordeal he says left him seriously ill and without a home.
The actor made the appeal during a conversation with his colleague, Tony Montana, on Thursday. Okemesi, who has been largely absent from film projects for close to a year, disclosed that he suffered what he described as a spiritual attack that affected his ability to move.
Reacting to his condition, Tony Montana expressed shock and concern, saying, “I’m very sad seeing you in this condition. It is difficult for people, including your fans, to recognise you. What happened to you?”
In response, Okemesi explained, “It was a spiritual attack. May God protect us from spiritual arrows. I was taken to Island Hospital, and people donated to foot my bills. But we realised it was beyond the hospital when my condition worsened. That was when the people with me searched for my relatives’ numbers on my phone.”
He said his elder brother later intervened by taking him to Osogbo for spiritual care. “My senior brother in Osogbo asked them to bring me to him. He picked me up from the motor park and took me directly to an Islamic cleric for a solution. It was a serious attack. I became crippled,” he said.
Okemesi added that prayers and spiritual support helped restore his strength. “It was the prayers from people and God’s miracles that revived me. I couldn’t talk or stand. I began to walk with crutches a few hours after the Alfa gave me some spiritual items to use the same day I arrived.”
He further revealed that his brother also encountered challenges after taking him in. “My brother was also attacked after I left the cleric’s place to stay with him for proper care. He was involved in an accident and also had a marital crisis with his wife,” Okemesi said.

According to the actor, he eventually had to leave his brother’s home and has since been staying within church premises. “I had to leave his place and started staying on church premises. I don’t have a place to sleep, I don’t have anything. In fact, it’s difficult to feed,” he stated.
Appealing to supporters, Okemesi said, “My fans, you are the only thing left for me. Please, I need your help to get back on my feet, especially with accommodation.”
His story has drawn sympathy online, with many calling for support to help the actor regain stability.
