Veteran Nigerian singer Sola Allyson has revealed that she and her husband are still married but now live in separate homes.
During an appearance on the Oyinmomo Podcast, Allyson spoke candidly about the challenges of marriage, admitting that she has never felt the type of happiness many people associate with married life.
She said, “I must confess that I am married, but my husband and I decided to live apart; he in his house and I in mine.
“Marriage has been a big challenge. I hear people talk about joy in marriage, but I have never experienced it.”
Allyson also revealed that despite her efforts, her marriage has “not been successful,” shedding light on the difficulties she has navigated in her relationship.

The singer further addressed a common misconception about her music, making it clear that she does not consider herself a gospel artist. She explained, “I am not a gospel singer. My name is Sola Allyson.
Jesus does not need promotion, so I do not have to call His name in every song.”
Through her revelations, Allyson gave fans a rare insight into both her personal life and her artistic philosophy, highlighting her individuality and the authenticity of her work.
