On Tuesday, June 7, 2016, during the condolence visit on the
widower of late Henrietta, Jide Kosoko, it was obvious the man was grieving the
death of his third wife. He was consoled by friends, colleagues and family
members.
Henrietta Kosoko, 53, died on Monday, June 6, 2016. She was
said to have died from complications she had as a result of an auto crash last
year.

Dressed in white kaftan and slippers, actor Jide Kosoko looked
distressed as he mumbled and talked.
He told the sympathisers  present in the Yoruba language, “Iyawo Keta; s’e awon aye oni m’aka fun mi?’
(This is the third wife l have lost; won’t people be keeping records?” He made
the statement around 2:20 pm when journalists from National Encomium magazine visited
his Lagos home on Tuesday.
In October 1992 and November 1993, his first two wives died during
childbirth. Already, many snide remarks have dominated social media but many
are behind the star actor, describing his wives’ death as God-ordained.
However, Blogger Kemi Olunloyo insinuated that Kosoko must
have been “using his wives for ritual purposes.” She was scolded by many on
twitter for the crude remarks.
Meanwhile, Bidemi Kosoko, one of the children of Jide
Kosoko, who is also a Nollywood Yoruba actress, paid tribute to her step-mother, narrating how the death of Henrietta would
remain painful to her.

Bidemi shared the photo of the deceased and posted, “Still can’t believe you are gone. You
asked me to get you some things from Dubai which I did. You  asked me just last week when I would be
dropping them for you and I said this week, I would come. Now you are gone just
like that! You didn’t even wait to collect them! I will miss you so much! Our
fight, our gist, your prayers, you praising me all the time and your advice.
You even talked about all the things you would do on my wedding day. You have
been on my neck with this marriage issue. You did not wait for that day to come
and you left. Rest on, “Omo odudu kudu.” God please save her soul and
forgive her of her sins (amen)”
