The remains of frontline socialite cum businesswoman, Princess Kubrat Adebisi Edionseri, who passed away on January 5, 2025 at 89 have been interred.

Popularly known as Madam Cash, she was buried on Monday January 6, at her palatial country home located at Government Reservation Area(GRA), Ibara, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

Madam Cash was buried at 4pm on Monday according to Islamic rites, after the  janzah prayers by Islamic clerics.

A special sermon by the League of Imam, conducted by Sheikl Iskeel Awwal popularly called Sugar, followed thereafter.

Dignitaries present to pay their last respect to Cash Madam include former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Governor Dapo Abiodun, former Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, Ambassador Sarafa Isola (former Nigerian High Commissioner to the UK) Justice Olatokunbo Olopade(Ogun State Chief Judge), Alhaja Salimot Badru (former Deputy Governor Ogun State) among others.

In his speech, Governor Abiodun said he was devastated on hearing the news of Cash Madam’s death, recalling that she was still with him on January 2, 2025 at a wedding ceremony and was very active.

He added that late Adebisi Edionseri was still reminding him of her forthcoming 90th birthday and that he equally promised her that Ogun State Government is going to play major role to make the birthday remarkable, not knowing that she won’t live to witness the birthday.

“Mama was with us and active on January 2, we were at a wedding together where she continued to remind me of her upcoming birthday. She told me what role I should play at that birthday. I was devastated over the demise. Man proposes, God disposes,” Abiodun said.

The governor, however, promised that the state government will still organise a posthumous 90th birthday for Cash Madam who, he emphasized,  was a self made woman, a philanthropist per excellence who was well responsible for the well-being of her biological children and adopted children.
