Dr. Adefolalu Sherifat, a female lecturer in the Department of Biochemistry at the School of Life Sciences, Federal University of Technology in Minna, Niger State, has tragically been found dead in her residence.
The lifeless body of Dr. Adefolalu Sherifat was discovered in her home in the Gbaiko Area of Minna, and she was lying in a pool of blood. The sad incident was confirmed on Sunday by Prof. Gbolahan Bolarin, the chairman of the school’s Academic Staff Union of the University.
According to reports, members of her church became concerned when she didn’t attend the service, leading them to trace her home. They discovered her lifeless body when they broke into her residence.
Police operatives were called in, and the deceased lecturer’s body was subsequently moved to the mortuary. The spokesman for the Niger State Police Command, Wasiu Abiodun, indicated that further information about the incident would be provided in due course.
Some residents mentioned that Dr. Adefolalu Sherifat’s husband, who was a professor at the same university, had previously passed away. Until her untimely death, she was living with a female house helper, but she had recently laid off the girl on Friday.
