The bishop of Methodist Church Nigeria, Reverend Samson Osundina, criticised her for this untoward act.
Then, the Nollywood actress and mother of two decided sharing beautiful photos of herself having fun in Dubai with her colleague, Eniola Badmus.
Well, fast-forward to 2020 when the federal/state government declared a total lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic. That was when Akindele decided having a birthday party for her husband, JJC Skillz.
The party attracted more than the permissible guests in line with the restriction order to contain COVID-19 pandemic.
Singer, Azeez Fashola aka Naira Marley, also graced the party, which had over 20 others in attendance. This prompted thousands of Nigerians on social media called for the arrest Akindele, popularly called ‘Jenifa’.
The actress later apologised over the incident, saying most of those who attended the party were colleagues, who were living temporarily within the estate and could not return to their home states because of the lockdown caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. She was later sentenced alongside her husband to 14 her husband Abdulrasheed Bello to 14 days community service each.
By the time she got her groove back, she shared some glam photos of herself.
