Filmmaker Funke Akindele has arrived in Tanzania for the grand finale of Priscilla Ojo’s wedding to Tanzanian singer Juma Jux.
Received by some Tanzanians and Iyabo Ojo, who is the bride’s mum, the star-studded celebration is scheduled for May 28, 2025.
Moreover, this is the final leg of the couple’s wedding festivities which began earlier in the year with a Nikkah ceremony, followed by traditional and white weddings in Tanzania and Lagos, Nigeria.
Funke, who shares a close bond with Priscilla’s mother Iyabo Ojo, previously congratulated the bride and groom on their big day. In an emotional message, she praised Priscilla’s joy as a reflection of her mother’s love and commitment.
Although the actress missed the Lagos ceremonies, she expressed regret over her absence and later joined others in celebrating Priscilla’s first post-wedding endorsement deal.
Taking to her comment section, Funke hailed it as her “season of winning and celebration.”
In a recent update, the ‘Jenifa” star was spotted at the Lagos airport taking photos with her colleague, Jaiye Kuti and other fans. Reports indicate she was en route to Tanzania to join the final celebration.
“Tanzanians said they want to show up pepper,we are here to see the pepper and we are here to add to the pepper,” Iyabo Ojo said as she welcomed her friend and colleague.
