Nollywood actor Afeez Oyetoro, widely known as Saka, has shared his experience working with filmmaker and actress Funke Akindele, describing her as disciplined and professional on set.
Speaking in a recent interview, Saka dismissed claims that Akindele’s strict approach makes her difficult to work with, saying he appreciates her insistence on discipline, particularly when handling major productions.
The actor explained that managing a multimillion-naira project requires firmness and attention to detail, adding that Akindele is humble but does not tolerate unprofessional behaviour.
He also rejected suggestions that the actress has a bad temper, saying she only becomes firm when people fail to do what is expected of them.
According to him, Akindele takes work seriously and does not allow distractions during production, although she becomes playful when it is time to relax and entertain others.

“I have worked with Funke Akindele and she treated me very well.
“To those saying she’s strict on set, to be honest, I like it that way. I’m saying this publicly, not to gain anything.
“You have to be strong to handle a multimillion-naira project, and it isn’t easy. She’s humble, and she doesn’t tolerate nonsense. It’s not that she has a bad temper. Once you do the right thing, she has no problem with you.
“When it comes to work, Funke doesn’t joke. But when it’s time to entertain, she’s playful. I don’t have anything against her. If you are lazy, you can’t work with her because she doesn’t like laziness.”
