Funke Akindele has reacted to viral claims suggesting she ignored Fuji musician Wasiu Alabi Pasuma at a recent public event, insisting the allegation is false and misleading.
The controversy started after a short video circulated on social media, with some users claiming the actress snubbed the singer during a crowded gathering. The clip was shared with captions alleging disrespectful behaviour.
Responding on her X account on Sunday, Akindele strongly dismissed the narrative, stressing that she actually acknowledged and interacted with Pasuma at the event.
“Snub? Hell no. Stop the negativity pls. I saw him, greeted him, danced with him. Pasuma is my egbon. Pls you all should stop this evil,” she wrote.
The viral footage showed Akindele exchanging greetings with actress Fathia Balogun during a birthday celebration, while Pasuma was briefly seen seated at a table, which led to online speculation.
However, a longer version of the video circulating online reportedly shows a different context, where Akindele is seen warmly greeting Pasuma, smiling and engaging with him before moving on to other guests.

The event, which attracted several entertainment personalities, was held in honour of Balogun and featured multiple recordings from different angles showing Akindele interacting with attendees.
The actress has repeatedly faced similar online controversies over brief clips of her public appearances, which she often dismisses as misleading interpretations of edited footage.
