The vampire-themed period horror movie “Sinners” has emerged as the most nominated film for the 98th Academy Awards, earning 16 nominations ahead of the ceremony scheduled to take place in Hollywood on Sunday.
With the feat, the film sets a new record for the highest number of nominations, surpassing “One Battle After Another,” which secured 13 nominations.
Several other productions also performed strongly on the nominations list. “Frankenstein,” “Marty Supreme,” and “Sentimental Value” each received nine nominations, while “Hamnet” followed with eight.
