Nigerian Fuji artist Shanko Rasheed Atanda has shared the devastating news of the death of his first son, Jamaldeen Atanda.
On Friday, the singer took to Instagram to express his sorrow, noting that “no parent will pray to lose a child,” and prayed for his son’s eternal peace. The post did not include details about when or how Jamaldeen passed away.
Shanko wrote, “So Sad no parent pray to lose a child in lifetime but Alhamdulilahi Jamaldeen Emrs Atanda JNR rest well my champ I will surely tell you all about it when I see you again. Omo Ola sun reeee.”

This heartbreaking loss comes only months after Shanko celebrated Jamaldeen’s 12th birthday in December. At the time, he shared a touching tribute, calling his son an extraordinary child who “changed my life.”
