Nigerian television presenter Frank Edoho has denied allegations of domestic abuse and infidelity levelled against him by his estranged wife, Sandra Edoho.
Edoho, widely known for hosting Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, addressed the controversy in a statement posted on Instagram on Wednesday.
The broadcaster was previously married to broadcaster Katherine Obiang from 2003 to 2010 before marrying Sandra in 2013. Their marriage ended in December 2022, a separation he once described as emotionally difficult.
Following the split, online reports alleged misconduct on both sides, including claims that Sandra was involved with a Nigerian singer. Sandra, however, countered those claims and accused Edoho of repeated infidelity and domestic violence, including an alleged death threat.
Responding to the allegations, Edoho firmly rejected the claims, stating that the matter is already being handled by the appropriate authorities.
“Over the past few days, a number of grave allegations concerning my person have been circulated in the public space,” he wrote.
“I am fully aware of the concern, commentary, and attention this has generated. Let me state, clearly and unequivocally, that the allegations made against me are false.”
He added that he would not engage in public arguments as legal processes were already underway.
“At moments such as this, experience teaches that not every accusation merits a public contest, nor does every provocation require an answer in the court of public opinion,” he stated.
“There are times when restraint is not weakness but wisdom, and this is one of them. I have chosen to address these issues through the appropriate legal channels, where facts, not noise, will prevail.”
Edoho also expressed regret over the wider impact of the controversy on individuals and organisations unrelated to the dispute, including friends, associates, and business partners.
He apologised to sponsors and collaborators who may have suffered reputational inconvenience as a result of the public attention.

The TV host further appealed for privacy for his children, stressing that they should not be dragged into the ongoing dispute.
“This is an especially difficult period, most of all for my children, who neither chose this moment nor deserve to bear the weight of public intrusion arising from it,” he wrote.
“I respectfully ask that their privacy be protected, and that space be given for the lawful processes now underway to run their course.”
Edoho concluded by reaffirming his commitment to handling the matter with dignity while allowing legal proceedings to determine the facts.
