The Fountain of Life Church has paid tribute to the late Pastor Nomthi Odukoya, wife of the church’s founder, the late Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, on what would have been her 51st birthday.
In a heartfelt Instagram post sharedrecently , the church posted pictures of Pastor Nomthi alongside some of the books she authored during her lifetime. The tribute honoured her impact as a pastor, author, child advocate and beloved figure within the church community.

The caption read, “Happy Posthumous Birthday, Pastor Nomthi @pastornomthi.
“Your legacy of love, laughter, and unshakable faith continues to live on in our hearts.
Your words still speak, your books still teach, and your joy still inspires.
“We treasure your radiant smile, your graceful dance, and the way you made every child feel seen, special, and deeply loved.
“Keep dancing in heaven’s light—we miss you more than words can say.”
Pastor Nomthi, a South African educationist and author, was married to Pastor Taiwo Odukoya for 11 years before her death. Their union was blessed with two sons, Timilehin and Jomiloju. She served as the associate senior pastor at The Fountain of Life Church and was known for her advocacy for children’s rights through the Funda Wazi Foundation. She also authored several children’s books focused on child safety and emotional well-being.
She died on November 9, 2021, at the age of 47, after battling cancer for nearly two years.
Before Nomthi, Odukoya was married to the late Pastor Bimbo Odukoya. The couple, who met at the University of Ibadan and married on November 3, 1984, had three children: Tolu, Jimmy, and Tobi.
Bimbo died tragically in the Sosoliso Airlines Flight 1145 crash on December 10, 2005.
Pastor Taiwo remarried Nomthi on January 5, 2010. After her death, he continued to lead the church until his own death on August 7, 2023, in the United States at the age of 67.
While the cause of death was not publicly disclosed, reports indicated he had been battling health challenges, possibly worsened by the loss of Nomthi and his twin sister, Kehinde Hassan, who also died of cancer in December 2021.
