Firefighters from the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service are responding to a fire outbreak at the Bono Energy Terminal located in the Coconut area of Apapa, Lagos.
The development was confirmed on Friday by the agency’s spokesperson, Shakiru Amodu, in a brief statement sent to journalists.
“The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service is currently curbing a Fire explosion at Bono Energy Terminal on Apapa-Oworonshoki Expressway, by Coconut, Olodi Apapa, Lagos. Update to follow,” he said.

The cause of the incident had not been established as of the time of filing this report, while emergency responders continued efforts to contain the fire.
