The Disc Jockey daughter of oil-rich billionaire, Femi Otedola, DJ Cuppy has finally confirmed her split from wealthy footballer Victor Anichebe.
She cited distance as the challenge the relationship experienced.
Making the revelation today, during an interview with Beat FM, DJ Cuppy said, “I literally do not have a beau. I and Victor are not together anymore. The picture I put up recently was a picture of us when we were together. We are still friends. People find it so weird.”
On why they called it quit, she said, “I feel like we just…He lives in China, I moved here. Time difference. It was really difficult. Anyone that knows footballers know that their schedules are crazy and my schedule is also crazy. So it was just difficult but he is such a great guy.”
Femi Otedola’s daughter Ifeoluwa aka DJ Cuppy revealed wealthy footballer, Victor Anichebe, as her lover in December 2016. Victor Anichebe is a Nigerian footballer who plays as a striker for Premier League club Sunderland.
On the affair which started long before her December confirmation,Cuppy said in an interview with Ebuka Uchendu’s TV programme ‘Rubbin Minds’, “We have been in for well over a year. This is the first time I will talk about him. I am really happy, really happy and its refreshing to be with someone who is open-minded, hardworking and understands as well.”
How did they meet?
She revealed:
“It’s a funny story. It was a set up. I was complaining of how I could be single forever to a stylist I was working with and she was like, ‘Oh! I know a client who is complaining about being single forever.’ I was in New York and she (stylist) said we should go for coffee. I was like hhmmmm.
He was like hmmmm.
“I happened to be in London and he was in London as well and we went for coffee and the rest is history.”
