Always immersed in controversies but still battling to save his fourth marriage from collapse, Nigerian politician and former minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has debunked rumors making the rounds that he is getting married to a Kannywood star and Instagram sensation, Halima Yusuf.
Mr Fani-Kayode was reacting to media reports that he planned to pick Miss Yusuf as a wife after the crash of his fourth marriage.
The former minister said the Kannywood star is just his dear friend and source of his comfort.
“There have been wild speculations in the social media that I am planning to get married again. That is false,” he wrote on his verified Instagram page.
“Miss Halima Yusuf, who has been cited as my fiancee, is simply a dear friend and confidante who I have the utmost respect for and who I hold in high esteem.
“She, together with others, has been a source of immense comfort for me and mine at this time and for this I am eternally grateful to her.
“Iappeal to all those peddling the falsehood that we are about to get married to please desist from doing so.”
