Omotayo Sanusi, famously known as Iyan Aladuke, has publicly addressed claims surrounding her eviction from a Lagos property, pushing back against statements made by a member of her estranged husband Femi Adebayo’s family in Punch Newspaper.
The family member had suggested that Sanusi was aware of the circumstances that led to her removal from the property, explaining that the eviction was due to a bank foreclosure linked to a loan Adebayo secured. According to the report, after the bank moved to reclaim the property, Adebayo allegedly arranged for Sanusi, her family, and staff to be relocated to a short-let apartment, which he reportedly covered financially.
Responding to the narrative, Iyan Aladuke said she had initially wanted to remain private about the ordeal but felt compelled to speak as the situation unfolded.
“I’m going through a tough time and really didn’t want to air it on social media, but here I am. Last year, I was bashed and falsely accused, but thank God for the good people around me who stood by me. Now it seems the tables have turned—what was meant to disgrace me has turned to glory. The lies are falling apart, and people are seeing the true character,” she stated.
She went on to condemn the alleged actions during the eviction, claiming that armed men were brought in and that her elderly mother was put in harm’s way.
“What did you expect when you took almost 20 armed men to a public place to evict people? Of course, the news would spread! You started it, keep fueling. My aged mother was thrown out with a G*n, knowing fully well she’d be there to help me with my child! Who are you to talk to me about God! You don’t know God! You only put up the act,” she added.

Iyan also criticised what she described as staged gestures to appear involved in her son’s life.
“You always want to silence me by targeting my reputation. I’m done keeping quiet! You can’t silence me anymore! The desperation to save your name, you don’t care who goes down! I’m not going down with your lies! Whoever published those false narratives in Punch Newspapers should retract them. I’m only quiet because of my son—please don’t push me! You staged a visit to his school on Wednesday after being absent for a whole year, even when your office is just a few minutes’ walk from home! You took a picture to garnish your image, watched us thrown out of my marital home on Friday, and now published the visit in Punch. I knew what was coming the moment I was told of your impromptu visit and picture play,” she said.
