Fayose Panics As Buhari’s Aide, Femi Ojudu Joins Ekiti Gov’ship Race (Photos)

Senator Babafemi Ojudu, Special Adviser to President Mohammadu Buhari on Political Matters, on Friday formally declared his interest to contest the forthcoming governorship election of Ekiti State slated to hold on July 14, 2018.

He made his intention known at a rally held at Ado Ekiti, the State Capital. Senator Ojudu will be contesting under the auspices of the All Progressive Congress, APC, party.

The colourful occasion, which was witnessed by a mammoth crowd, had juju maestro, Saheed Osupa and Small Doctor on the bandstand dishing out songs to the delight of the crowd.

While declaring his intention, Ojudu was apt to reveal his plan for the state and the residents.

Ojudu, who assured the people that the administration of the outgoing governor, Ayodele Fayose would be probed, stated that it is time to vote out corrupt leadership in the state saying, “Say bye bye to Fayose and his useless government”.

Meanwhile, a Special Assistant to the Ekiti State Governor on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, has alleged that Senator Babafemi Ojudu, is “a scammer” who wants to use his declaration to contest for Ekiti State governorship election to raise funds for himself.
Olayinka added that Ojudu is aware “he won’t even come near the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket,” but wants to use the July 14, 2018 governorship election to raise funds from unsuspecting members of the public.
Ojudu had, while officially declaring his governorship ambition boasted that he would probe the government of Ayo Fayose, if he is elected governor of the Ekiti State.
But reacting, Olayinka argued, “Even though Governor Fayose is not afraid of being probed by anyone, it is laughable that someone like Ojudu, who did nothing for Ekiti State as Senator for four years and was not bold enough to seek reelection because of fear of losing scandalously is the one talking about probing the governor.”
