Lawmaker representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, James Faleke, has collected the All Progressives Congress (APC) Expression of Interest and Nomination forms on behalf of President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The APC National Organising Secretary, Suleiman Argungu, announced the commencement of the process on Tuesday in Abuja, where he formally presented the forms to Faleke, a prominent figure in the Tinubu Support Groups.
Faleke’s payment and collection of the forms, worth N100 million, effectively signals the beginning of President Tinubu’s re-election campaign.
According to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the presidential and National Assembly elections are scheduled for Saturday, January 16, 2027, while governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections will take place on February 6, 2027.

INEC also disclosed that party primaries, including the resolution of related disputes, will be conducted between April 23, 2026, and May 30, 2026.
The commission added that campaigns for the presidential and National Assembly elections will begin on August 19, 2026, while governorship and state assembly campaigns are set to start on September 9, 2026.
