It was all pomp and pageantry in the palace of Ooni Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife a few weeks ago when he welcomed another set of twins—a boy and a girl.
The blogs (not kemiashefonlovehaven) went agog and mentioned that it was Queen Elizabeth Opeoluwa who had them.
But that isn’t the truth.
The beautiful Elizabeth Opeoluwa, who is based in the United Kingdom, is yet to have her babies. The second queen (Ooni of Ife married her after Yeyeluwa Mariam) was spotted recently in Ile Ife at the 70th birthday of Ooni’s step mum, Olori Agba Oyebukola Ogunwusi. She didn’t look like a new mum of twins. The queen, who was gaily dressed was with the king, and other family members.
“She is not the one who bore the twins. She (Elizabeth Opeoluwa) is yet to have hers but by God’s grace, she will be a mother soon,” a palace source told Kemiashefonlovehaven.
Opeoluwa Elizabeth Akinmuda who hails from Ondo State is a medical doctor, a Christian and a firm believer in traditional Yoruba culture as well. Her marriage to the Ooni of Ife took place on May 20, 2023.
So, who is the recent mother of the Ooni’s twins?
She is married to the Ooni. She is part of the wives but you will never know her. She shies away from the public and would never parade herself as a queen like her co-wives. This private queen, who lives in Lagos has a daughter, Princess Adebukunmi Adeife in 2021.
Recall the Ooni of Ife, celebrated the beautiful princess when she clocked a year on April 15, 2022.
Fondly called Mama Adebuks, this queen has firmly refused to expose herself or her kids to the public.
“Even palace officials know that she doesn’t want to be seen or heard in public with the Ooni. She coordinates her affairs with discretion and when she had the set of twins, she didn’t want any form of exposure. Even when they want to bring the prince and princess to the palace when they clock 3 months, mama Adebuks would never want it in the media,” a palace official exclusively told Kemiashefonlovehaven.
Recall the 2022 first birthday of the princess on Ooni’s instagram page read, “Princess Adebukunmi Adeife is 1 year old today. Almighty God will grant you a long life to fulfil your destiny in the world. You keep my memory well refreshed of my mother of blessed memory as you are truly her reincarnation. Lots of love Mama Adebuks.
