They got married 20 years ago and they have been together since then. The union which has produced five children, has also witnessed a grandchild.

For former Ogun State First Lady, Olufunso Amosun, September 8 is for celebrating not just her marriage to Senator Ibikunle Amosun but the joy of being together.
Sharing throwback photos, Amosun wrote, “HWA HUSBAND 💕💕💕💕💕💕29 years and counting 🥰🥰🥰

Accorfding to Funso in an interview, marriage to Senator Ibikunle Amosun, the former Ogun State governor, has been blissful and blessed with five children. “I met him when I was having my national youth service,” she said
Born in London, she started her primary school education at St James Norland School in the United Kingdom, returned home to attend Yejide Girls Grammar school in Ibadan (1977 – 1982), from here she progressed to Oyo State College of Arts and Science for her Advanced level education (1983 – 1985) before gaining admission into University of Ife, now known as Obafemi Awolowo University where she bagged a BA.ED in English Education.

“For my youth service, I was posted to an information technology firm, where we trained professionals on ICT. Then, my husband was a chartered accountant (still is) and the software programme for accounting was Lotus, which has evolved to Excel. I was versed in information technology despite my degree in English Education. So, when his company requested for training for their professionals, I was the one assigned to go and train them and that was how we met.”
