It’s great to be a dad. It’s greater when you bond with your kids. They
are your future. They are the bigger picture of you in years to come. No matter
how highly placed, you are somebody’s dad, who craves for your attention and
love. This weekend, let’s try to bond with our kids. It’s vital.

As at
February last year when he was installed the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammadu
Sanusi II, released his family album.He has quite a big family – three wives,
Sadiya Ado Bayero, Maryam, and Rakiya, and twelve children. He later married a
fourth wife who is a princess Sa’adatu Barkindo-Musdafa, the daughter of the
Lamido of Adamawa, Muhammadu Barkindo-Musdafa. Sa’adatu, who was then 18 is
said to be a secondary school graduate and has continued her university
education after her wedding.
