Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu has won his reelection to the senate on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Enugu West Senatorial District. He polled 86,088 to defeat Juliet Ibekaku-Nwaugwu of the All Progressives Congress, APC, who polled 15,187, according to an announcement by INEC.
Also, the Senator representing Oyo North in the National Assembly and the candidate of the APC, Senator Abdulfatai Buhari, has been declared winner of the race.
He polled 107, 703 votes to defeat Mulikat Akande Adeola, a former member of the House of Representatives and candidate of the PDP, who scored 89, 365 votes, according to official results released by INEC.
