Eedris Abdulkareem: Legendary rapper Eedris Abdulkareem has stirred controversy with his new track “Tell Your Papa”, a sharp critique aimed at Seyi Tinubu, son of Nigeria’s president.

The music release follows Seyi’s statement describing his father, President Bola Tinubu, as the best leader in Nigeria’s history — a comment made while addressing youths in Adamawa.

Eedris, unimpressed, delivers blunt lyrics urging Seyi to deliver a reality check to his father. “Country hard, people dey die, kidnappers full ground,” he sings. “This one don pass jagajaga.”

He also accuses the president of offering empty promises and challenges Seyi’s experience of Nigeria’s hardship. “You dey fly private jet, insecurity no be your problem,” he raps, calling for him to travel without escorts to feel what everyday Nigerians face.

The bold track has reignited debates about the current administration and the growing hardship in the country.
