Though an advocate of putting a stop to Domestic Violence and having peaceful marriages, Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has advised women to respect their husbands and also watch how they talk to the head of the home—husband.

In a video he shared on Instagram, Yul, who is son of veteran actor, Pete Edochie, gave an example of a friend of his who talks rudely to her husband.

Also citing examples of his parents, he recalled, “All the years I spent with my parents as a kid, my father never hit my mum once. Though they had their arguments and when my father’s voice goes up, my mum would go down and out. Not that my father was a gentleman but because my mum also respects my dad. Whenever his voice goes up, my mum would be quiet. He takes his keys and leaves house. But nowadays women would not allow a man leave home, they would keep shouting, ‘you are not going anywhere, let’s settle it.’
