What appeared to be a minor misunderstanding has escalated to be a major setback in the once cherished friendship between Nollywood Yoruba actresses, Dayo Amusa and Faithia Balogun.
Kemiashefonlovehaven gathered that recently, 49-year-old Faithia had the final burial ceremony of her mum and a handful of actresses were in attendance.
However, Dayo Amusa didn’t show up.
Known to be like two peas in a pod, the age difference notwithstanding, Dayo and Faithia’s friendship once generated envy among other actresses.
An item wherever they went, 49-year-old Faithia has always been friends with younger people in the industry. You would always notice she and Dayo Amusa at outings.
Also, Dayo Amusa, who would always flaunt Faithia’s kids on her social media handles, called her Adunni, while Faithia called her Aduke.
Surprisingly, things must have fallen apart between these two friends who have a large fan base.
The peak of the disagreement was Dayo’s resolve not to appear at Faithia’s mum’s burial.
Actresses who attended were Ayo Adesanya, Laide Bakare;Ronke Odusanya; Toyosi Adesanya; Bimbo Thomas and a host of others.
Expressing appreciation to such friends, Faithia wrote on Instagram, “On behalf of Teniola family and Faithia Balogun we express our profound gratitude towards your presence at the final burial ceremony of our late mother mrs Talayo Abeni Teniola,the almighty God will be with all of you that graced the occassion and those who cannot make it due to certain reasons,ave a safe trip back to your various destinations,omo rere agbehi gbogbo wa.
