Controversial singer Dammy Krane has clarified the viral allegations of a ₦180 million fraud involving popular social commentator VeryDarkMan (VDM), stating it was a prank.

The allegations initially arose when VDM claimed his NGO’s website was hacked, leading to the loss of significant donations intended for charity. However, Dammy Krane took to Instagram to share a video with VDM, revealing the entire saga was staged.

“It was a prank. VDM is renovating a school in Jos,” the singer captioned the post, teasing viewers with, “Una no expect am abi?”

The revelation has sparked mixed reactions. While some expressed relief that no fraud occurred, others criticized the duo for trivializing a serious issue.

The announcement also redirected focus to Verydarkman’s ongoing efforts to renovate a school in Jos, earning praise for his humanitarian commitment.

The prank’s controversial nature has stirred debate online, with many questioning its appropriateness and potential impact on public trust.
