Hon Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) has applauded the Nigerian-born American football player, Moro Ojomo, who won the 2025 National Football League Super Bowl, with the Philadephia Eagles,in the United States.

Dabiri-Erewa also thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his pledge to confer a National honour on him when she received Moro Ojòmo and his family at NIDCOM Headquarters in Abuja.

“This is inspiring to young generations, to encourage you that, this is home, home will always be home. No matter how you excel abroad, home will always be home,” she said.

The NiDCOM Chairman/CEO, continued with her commendation of Ojomo,

“Thank you for making us proud. And I know that you are passionate about your country, you are passionate about  the younger Nigerians and you want to make a difference  in their lives”.

Moro Ojomo while answering questions during the interaction at NiDCOM Headquarters stated that,

“I have a drive and motivation that stems from my upbringing as a Nigerian.”

Ojomo, brimming with enthusiasm for coming  to Nigeria said,

“raising the Nigerian flag shows that Nigeria and my upbringing is hardworking, determination, and perseverance that has led me to where I am. I wouldn’t be here without Nigeria”.

Ojomo promised to invest in the youth through motivation and building a youth academy and bring them to speed to compete in the 2028 Olympics. He concluded by saying,

“that the grass isn’t greener when you go but is greener where you water it . We have an opportunity to water. And I think that’s the step I want to take. “

Moro Ojomo migrated to the United States of America in 2001 and settled in California. He is a defensive linesman for the Philadephia Eagles Super Bowl, American  National Football League, as two-times Champions.
