Actress Tonto Dikeh’s former husband, Olakunle Churchill, has clarified that there is no legally recognised marriage between him and Rosy Meurer, amid ongoing reports of marital crisis and alleged divorce proceedings.
Reports had earlier suggested that Meurer filed for divorce following Churchill’s reported reconciliation with his ex-wife, Tonto Dikeh, who is now an evangelist.
Reacting in a series of posts on his Instagram page on Wednesday, Churchill dismissed the claims, insisting that no valid marriage ever existed between him and Meurer.
“The reports circulating online about a supposed divorce between myself and Roseline Meurer are completely false. There is no truth to them. There was no legally recognized marriage. There was no church wedding and no court wedding,” he wrote.
He further explained that their relationship was limited to an introduction ceremony, making divorce claims irrelevant.
“What took place was an introduction. Therefore, the idea of a ‘divorce’ is baseless from the outset,” he added.
Churchill also questioned the authenticity of the alleged divorce documents being circulated online, stating that he was never officially served.

“Beyond that, any legitimate legal process requires that all parties be formally served and given the opportunity to respond. I was never served. So I ask a simple question: what exactly is being presented to the public, and how was it obtained?” he said.
He also criticised those advising Meurer, suggesting that the process was being poorly handled.
“I’m 100% sure that individuals without proper experience in the media space are advising Rosy incorrectly, alongside legal practitioners who operate under a mango tree without due process and claim to produce divorce documents within 24 hours,” he added.
