The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has commenced full burial of its member, Precious Owolabi, who was killed on Monday during a protest by the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN).
Owolabi, 23, a Channels TV reporter, is being buried at the Wusasa cemetery, Zaria.
His remains were received by his parents in Zaria on Wednesday.
The coffin was carried to the cemetery on Thursday by NYSC members who sang the corps’ anthem to bid him farewell.
NYSC Director-General, Shuaibu Ibrahim, is represented at the funeral by a director in the corps.
