Afro-beats singer, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, popularly known Burna Boy has revealed why he believes people hate him.
The 29-year-old Grammy nominated singer recently deleted his Twitter account due to the constant backlash he received on the micro-blogging site.
Aside that, he has gotten into spats with other celebrities notably AKA of South Africa. According to the singer, people love him, but they hate him because he tells them what they need to hear and not what they want to hear.
“They Love me but they hate me, because I tell them what they need to hear and now what they want to hear,” he wrote on Snapchat.
The singer shot to stardom with his “African giant’ album which dominated Africa’s entertainment scene for the better part of two years. The album earned him a Grammy nomination which he lost to Angelique Kidjo of Benin Republic.
