The Grammy-winning singer shares the list with prominent Africans, including billionaire businessman Aliko Dangote, World Trade Organisation Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and media entrepreneur Mo Abudu.
The publication’s selection celebrates influential individuals whose achievements have helped shape Africa’s identity and strengthen its influence internationally.
Burna Boy was recognised for his contribution to promoting African music and culture beyond the continent. Through his international career, the singer has helped introduce African sounds to a wider audience and contributed to the growing global profile of Afrobeats.
His appearance on the list has also drawn attention from fans, who took to social media to celebrate the recognition and praise his influence on the music industry.
An Instagram user, Ernesteenah, expressed pride in the singer’s achievement, writing, “His parents would be incredibly proud of him”.
