President Mohammadu Buhari on Tuesday conferred national honours on MKO Abiola, the presumed winner of the annulled June 12, 1993 presidential election.
Abiola was bestowed with a posthumous award of Grand Commander of Federal Republic, GCFR
Ambassador Babagana Kinginbe, who was Abiola’s running-mate, was also decorated with Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger, GCON.
Similarly, human rights lawyer, late Gani Fawehimi got GCON
