The Nigerian film industry has been thrown into mourning following reports of the death of Nollywood actress Allwell Ademola.
The sad development was first shared by filmmaker Seun Oloketuyi via his Instagram page in a post that has since been deleted, sparking widespread reactions across the industry.
Reacting to the news, actor Damola Olatunji appeared to confirm the loss by posting a candlelight image with the simple but emotional caption: “Life is a mirage.”
Several Nollywood stars have also taken to social media to express shock and disbelief over the report.
Actress Faithia Williams wrote: “Haaaa. This hit me so bad. Eniobanke.”

Bidemi Kosoko, clearly shaken, reacted with a strongly worded message, refusing to come to terms with the news.
She wrote:
