Blessing CEO has announced her engagement to Lagos auto dealer Ikechukwu Ogbonna, popularly known as IVD, three years after he lost his wife, Bimbo.
Blessing took to Instagram on Tuesday to share photos of the proposal, showing off her engagement ring while posing with IVD.
She captioned the post:

The engagement comes amid the lingering controversy surrounding IVD’s past.
In October 2022, his wife Bimbo Ogbonna died from severe burns following a domestic altercation at their Lagos home.
Her death triggered public outrage, with many accusing IVD of abuse during their troubled marriage.
Following her death, IVD was arrested by the Lagos State Police Command and later charged with involuntary manslaughter.
He was eventually granted bail while the case proceeded in court.
Blessing CEO publicly defended IVD at the time, claiming he was innocent and had been misunderstood.
Her stance drew criticism from the public, especially from those advocating against domestic violence.
