The Chancellor of Covenant University, Ota in Ogun State, Dr. David Oyedepo, is giving out his daughter, Joys, in marriage today, Friday, August 21.
The traditional marriage is currently holding in Cannanland, housing the Living Faith Church, with a church service expected to follow tomorrow at the Covenant University Chapel.
Joys Priscilla Oyedepo, who is getting married to Abimbola Olaleye Abodunrin, is the last child and second daughter of the fiery bishop and founder of the Living Faith Church Worldwide.
She is the team lead at Women of the God Kind, a non-for-profit group whose objective is to raise women to develop a deeper intimacy with Jesus.
She is described by Amazon.com as “a writer, speaker who lives every day with joy and excitement, knowing fully well that her purpose is to bring many hearts closer to God.”
Incidentally, the bishop and his wife, Faith, are celebrating their 38th wedding anniversary today.
It was learnt that the wedding ceremony was earlier slated for April this year but had to be postponed due to the lockdown occasioned by the COVID-19 pandemic.
