Nollywood actress and filmmaker Bimbo Ademoye has raised concerns over a copyright claim placed on her YouTube movie, Where Love Lives, which she says has resulted in the film being demonetised on the platform.
According to Ademoye, an individual identified as Emmanuel Davies allegedly laid claim to a song used in the movie, even though she insists she has full ownership of the soundtrack. She further alleged that the same person uploaded the song to Spotify and other music streaming platforms, listing himself as the composer.
Where Love Lives, which was released in December 2025, has continued to gain massive traction online, amassing over 18 million views on YouTube.
Reacting via a series of posts on her Instagram page on Saturday, the actress expressed anger and frustration over the situation, issuing an ultimatum and demanding that the copyright claim be removed without delay.
“But Emmanuel, you have one hour to lift that copyright from my movie. A song I completely own the rights to, you took it, uploaded it, named yourself the composer and blocked me from making money from my own sweat,” she wrote.
Ademoye also warned that there would be consequences if the issue was not resolved, calling on anyone who knows the individual or is familiar with the associated platforms to intervene.

She noted that this was not her first experience with copyright-related issues, revealing that she is already pursuing another individual over a similar allegation.
“Emmanuel Davies!, YOU HAVE 1 HOUR. I’d place a bounty on your head and when I find you. You’d wish you never did this. First Anwuli (who I’m still coming for, now this) whoever knows lagos sound/ emmanuel Davies should warn him now! Before i handle this MY OWN WAY!” she added.
As of the time of filing this report, the accused individual has not publicly responded to the allegations.
