Billionaire industrialist and property magnate, Alhaji Umar Ayinla Saro, CON, is dead.

The Ilorin, Kwara State born business mogul died on Sunday, January 31, 2021, at a private hospital in Victoria Island, Lagos after battling the dreaded covid-19.

Saro was a successful business magnate, community leader, philanthropist and elder statesman. He held the revered title of Sardauna of Ilorin Emirate.

He was a very generous man, who made contributions to human capital development and empowerment of the less privileged

He is survived by a wife, Alhaja Afsat Atinuke Saro, a celebrated matriarch of the Lagos Social Establishment, many children and grandchildren.
