The wedding ceremony between Globacom Chairman’s daughter, Oyindamola Eunice Adenuga and Adeolu Abayomi Olufeko must have come and gone but not the memories.
Dr Mike Adenuga’s joy on the day of the wedding, July 6, was equally shared by Adefolake Emilia Adenuga ( née Marquis), his first wife and mother of his five eldest children—Oyindamola, Jide, Paddy, Bella and Eniola.
The handsome groom, Adeolu Abayomi, who turned 39 last January, is the son of Late Prince Adewunmi Abayomi and Mrs Olubola Olufunmilayo Samuel-Olufeko. The couple shares the same native home of Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.
The two-fold wedding ceremony kicked off on Thursday, 6 July, a day after Oyindamola’s 39th birthday, with an engagement/Introduction ceremony. This was held at the Banana Island residence of the bride’s father. The colour dictate of the day was Emerald Green on royal blue lace. The bride dazzled in a royal blue Komole styled aso-oke, designed by Deola Sagoe. This outfit was complemented with a set of eye-popping diamond stoned-sapphire jewellery.
The very exclusive and strict event was graced by just a hundred guests. On the bandstand to entertain the guests was King Sunny Ade, while Tunde Adewale, Tee-A, compered the programmes. The aso-ebi for the entire wedding ceremony was supplied by Hajia Bisoye Usman of Oyeog Fabrics.
The second leg of the wedding was slated for Saturday, 8 July, 2017, at the Adenugas’ home in Banana Island. The elderly female guests are expected to adorn a red and gold gele on red lace, while the male guests will go for red cap.
