Economist, entrepreneur, philanthropist and Chairman of Heirs Holdings, and founder of The Tony Elumelu Foundation, Tony Onyemaechi Elumelu, is set to mark his mother’s 90th birthday in grand style later this year.
His mother, Mrs. Suzanne Elumelu who clocked 90 years in April 2018 will witness a grand party in her honour and celebrate with friends, families and acquaintances present later in the month.
In a tweet, Elumelu eulogized his mum and wrote about celebrating the birthday.
“This is symbolic in many ways for me. I always talk about the need to empower women across Africa because I know firsthand the power of just one enterprising woman. Suffice it to say that I wouldn’t be the man I am today w/out my mom.”
Dropping a hint lately on the forthcoming celebration, he tweeted, “Countdown to 90th!….dropped in to see how birthday girl is preparing for her 90th birthday celebration.”
