Pop musician, Burna Boy, has explained why mother, Bose Ogulu, picked up his BET best international act award on his behalf.
The 27-year-old artiste made the reason known in an Instagram post on Monday.
“Funny enough I went to Get a drink! I would have collected this one,” he said responding to why his mum got the award on his behalf.
Burna Boy’s mother, Bose Ogulu, went on to deliver a widely accepted speech while picking up the award.
“You were Africans before you were anything else,” Ogulu said while receiving the award as she admonished the audience.
