Harry Kane, Lamine Yamal, Kylian Mbappe and several of the biggest names in world football have been nominated for the 2026 Ballon d’Or.
The nominees for the prestigious individual awards were announced on Tuesday, officially opening the race for the honours.
The Ballon d’Or recognises players judged to have produced the best performances during the preceding football season.
The 2026 awards ceremony will be held in London on October 26, with the winners set to be announced and crowned at the event.
Organisers have also revealed nominees for the men’s and women’s awards in several categories, including Young Talent, Goalkeeper, Coach and Club of the Year.
