Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya has officially assumed office as the 33rd President of the Nigerian Bar Association.
Badejo-Okusanya was inaugurated on Friday at a ceremony held in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where she took the oath of office administered by her predecessor, Afam Osigwe, SAN.
The ceremony brought together prominent members of the legal profession, including senior lawyers and judicial officers, alongside other dignitaries.
As part of the transition, Osigwe formally handed over the leadership of the association to Badejo-Okusanya and presented her with a handover note.

Speaking to his successor during his farewell remarks, Osigwe said, “This is your handover note. A more comprehensive one will be given to you later. I hereby now out.”
Badejo-Okusanya’s inauguration formally begins her tenure as president of the NBA, succeeding Osigwe and taking charge of the association’s affairs for the new administration.
